Convert PDF to PowerPoint when you were sent a slide deck as a PDF and you need to change a title. Open PDF to PowerPoint, keep Editable — keep layout and colors, and download the .pptx. Each page is a slide. Each line is a text box you can click.

“Pdf to ppt” is the short query. The failure mode is a PPTX that is only a screenshot, so nothing is editable, or text that grows and spills off the slide.

What the editable conversion does

  • Puts a text box on the original word, at that word’s width.
  • Copies the ink color from the page, so a white title on a red bar stays white.
  • Shrinks the font only if Arial would otherwise run past the original word.
  • Leaves drawings and photos on the slide background.

Choose Picture only if you truly want a look-alike and you will not type. Choose Reflow only if you want a stack of bullets and you do not care where they sat.

Steps

  1. Drop the PDF on PDF to PowerPoint.
  2. Leave the default editable option on.
  3. Open the PPTX in PowerPoint or Google Slides and click a title.
  4. If you need a PDF again after the edit, use PowerPoint to PDF.

A scanned handout with no real text stays a picture. Run OCR PDF first if you need the words.
