Why formatting used to break
A PDF is a drawing. Word is a flow. Naive converters copy every line into a single column and throw away images — that is the “pasted text” result.
PakPDFConverter’s PDF to Word default is Keep original layout: each PDF page becomes a matching Word page, graphics stay put, and text is overlaid at the original positions so you can still edit it.
A local workflow that loses less
- If the PDF is a scan with no selectable text, run OCR PDF first, then convert.
- If it is digital (you can select text), use PDF to Word with Keep original layout.
- Choose Editable text only when you want a reflowing document instead of a visual copy.
- For a pixel-only clone with no Word text, PDF to JPG still exists.
“Without email” matters because many converters hold the document until you confirm an inbox. This page does not.
